The overall point I was trying to make was the noteworthy ongoing use of suicide bombers (going to paradise and such) in Muslim on Muslim violence re jihad.

The real solution lies in making the consequences of terrorism so great that no one would dare think to do it.


They blow up an Israeli bus, we blow up 10 of theirs.  They nuke a city, we take out 10 of theirs.

No one would think to **** with us.

  I think that if you look at this as a guerella war and not as some kind of religios deal, makes more sense.  The insurgents cannot compete with our military head to head.  So they are destabilizing the region. The same tactics beat the soviets in Afghanistan, and I cannot see any means of victory in Iraq for US, outside of total war, occupation, and ethnic cleansing,  which will blow the lid off the region.

I was actually being sarcastic.  Only a fool would believe that the politically connected would profit off of the horrors and suffering of those directly affected by this war or any others.  What christian or muslim would dare waltz into a house of god with the blood of thousands of men women and childeren on thier hands.
