Fdski,

Dodd is one of the classic great Senators of our day. As a Democrat he represents his constituents with class, honor and a dignity rarely found in politics today.

I trust his judgement implicity.

That being said: Much of what you say is exactly how I felt about republican conservatives these past 6-8 years. They did not talk in unison and the democrats all said the same buzzwords over and over droning on forever. To me it seems that the current crop of Republicanss have simply taken a page of tactics from the master roadkillters themselves. What goes around comes around I guess.

When I fill out a ballot, I vote the issues, not the party, since I too am convinced both parties are in it for MY money. It just happens that when I do vote the issues, issues that concern me tend to follow a moderate conservative line, thus the reasoning that I find Rush only mildly entertaining, and not Gospel.

They can't believe that a man would actually do what he swears to do even though the law is in conflict with his personal beliefs.

After all, they are the masters of telling us what we want to hear, and doing the opposite
