I'm sorry about my aggressive requests to cease the political talk on Channel 1 last night (10-3-2000), but I really think that it is a divisive issue.  When the issue has been decided, and a few months have passed, I think that one divisive discussion will fade away.  I eagerly await that time.

I don't care what your political beliefs are, thats the wonderful thing about this country (and some other countries as well).  I just want to enjoy the game and because I use Channel 1, I can't just squelch it.

Karnak I was on at the time you are talking about. You know, it must just be me but I thought we were goofing. I said comments like, "algore looked like an android", and somebody else said something about bush. Not once in my ch.1 text buffer did rush limbaugh pop in with his views on the evils of the clinton administration. Or did hillary pop in with her views of the vast right wing consipracy. It was just goofing. Maybe the 5 years in the Corps desensitized me, or gave me a little tougher skin than most. The only person that was getting irate, mean and snippy (hehe been looking to use that word all day)   was YOU! We talked about the differances between a Rep. and a Dem. jokingly, like i said, "one smoke a cigar the other doesnt." thats how you tell a Rep. from a Dem. So get over it man. Take some ludes or something.

Thats why I apologized.

I just didn't want to hear how Al Gore invented the internet or how he invented Monica Lewinsky.

My skin is normally thicker.  I was tired and typed some things that I ought not have.

The reason that I don't particularly welcome that kind of stuff in AH is because I am a Liberal and most WWII buffs are Conservative, thus the comments are overwhemingly anti-liberal.

I didn't mean to imply we needed a filter (We certainly don't) or anything.
