Jim Morrison did solo stuff before The Doors?
I enjoy most anything when I drive, classic rock, Joe satriani, some rap, some rock, metal. Whatever gets the blood flowing and keeps me awake.

Brian Eno put out an album in the early 80's called "Apollo - Atmospheres and Soundtracks" that on a clear night on a long stretch of desert highway makes for pure driving nirvana.
