GV availability in DA for training . . .
« on: April 05, 2006, 04:14:26 PM »
I'm looking for a place to do squad-based GV training. We need the ability to kill each other while chatting on vox.  A year or so back, we did some of this in the DA.  Now, vehicles don't seem to be available there. Does anyone have a solution?

go to H2H if you have a 8 man or less squad.

In the lower left corner of the map, theres "tank city". GVs are available there (exceptions being the Jeep and the LVTs). A problem might be though, that all fields are Bish.

Another possibility besides H2H is: go to the backup MA to practice.

The DA is unsuitable . . .

with killshooter turned on. Instead of taking ones own turret out, or engine, the shooter just dies. This makes it impossible to teach new players the intracies of gv combat.  It also makes it impossible to test weak spots.

So, I tried creating a h2h arena, several times, with no luck. When others view the list of availabe h2h hosts, mine is in the list but it has no 'ping' number - just '---' where the number should be. When they try to connect, nothing happens.  Does anyone know why this is so? How do I fix that?

Search the free multiplayer forum for "Brooke". He posted a thread on how to set up your firewall etc to be able to host a H2H room. Its your firewall/AV blocking the other users from entering your room.

For the DA: I was afraid that would be the case, since KS has been turned on. Only way around is: Whoever manages to get himself back to tower first, wins.....

Have you tried the backup Main Arena? (Its basically the same as the main arena, settings wise.)

Good luck

Hey shining we use to run this little thing called Tan Klubb about a year ago.

I asked Skuzzy too enable the  GV's at A-42 in the upper right hand corner of the DA, all 3 of those bases have GV's enabled and you spawn out too the fighting area.
