She's got "name recognition" that the rest of the candidates can't purchase for any amount of money.

She's got more campaign funds pouring in than she knows what to do with.

She has Bill up on the podium at her side.

She has the Clinton mystique or myth... however you choose.

I don't see how she can fail to get nominated.

Well.... ok, she could step on it but I think she's too smart to get caught with a female intern.  ;)

You're on Nash. $15 says Hillary gets the Democratic Party's nomination.

There have been far more governors, far more generals elected than senators.  Out of 43 presidents, only three were elected from the senate, while four of the last five have been governors.

I would bet on a governor.

Why is that?   Is it because people don't trust senators much?

"I voted for it before I voted against it," is why.

Senators are constantly forced to compromise on an issue here, or an issue there, in order for government to function. This adds up to a pretty damning paper trail.

nash is actualy right about the fact that senators are just an empy suit and a haircut that will sell out their ideals in order to get their idea through and money to their voters.

The whorishness of senators is so easy to see that even reality show watchers and canadians can see it.  and if they can't.... the opposition is more than willing to simplify it and soundbite it and put it on the commercials durring survivor or idol or whatever tripe joe sixpacks wife is making him watch this month.

actually sandie... the second half of my statement was meant to catch YOUR eye.

...after all, the adminstration may yet decide that 'for the good of the country' it would best to scare the population into making their boss's job a lifetime appointment. Wouldn't put it past Klinton to manufacture Oklahoma City nor Bush to manufacture the dissapearance of a big blue city.

Either Bush is a clueless idiot or a megalomaniacal mastermind...  I mean which is it?
