Why do we continue to loose vox?
« on: April 12, 2006, 06:35:16 PM »
I've asked a few times, never got a response from anyone at HTC.

Myself and my squadmates seem to be going thru another spell of loosing vox after a while.

Is there anything we can do, capture or log that can assist HTC in this ?  The .reset commands havent worked for any of us

Please and thank you :)

If I knew, it would be fixed. Have spent many an hour trying to isolate and duplicate.

I've never seen resetv work. Does that only reset the front end's voice code, or does it communicate with the server?

For me typing in .resetv = vox off. Enter it a second time  = all sound off. Anytime I have sound problems I just turn my speakers off and avoid big furballs.

Seems to happen to me if I stay on for more than 3 hours at a time. Some nights more often. Rarely seem to lose it in flight. Usually after rtb or a death. And reset boots me.

Don't know if this helps -

The first "few times" - "resetv 2" will bring back vox.

After the "few times" all that happens with "resetv 2" is a 5-10 sec game freeze, when game continues it has no vox still.

Only 'fix' is to exit and restart the game.
