I looked at the film and I think we both have a point. I saw you diving in on me so I got slow and tried to time my up and over move and make you pass under me as I shot. I can see from your angle how it would look like a HO. From mine if you look, its not a straight head to head shot, and in real time it looks like im almost straight down on you. If you slow it down, you can see that im not. But in the heat of the moment it looked like a decent shot to me, so I took it. Anyway, I knew you, Yucca and Herbie were all over there , and I was looking for good fights, so I wouldnt HO on purpose.

Heres the film if you want to review it...its around 3:30 into it.

aww, don't worry about it.

I was able to see your point of view after you told me what happened.

I was just thinking you were trying to nose down at the last second to get underneath me for a good merge. You have excellent aim and I was just dissapointed that I wouldn't get a chance to start turning with ya.

If only my aim was as good as yours.

Really Vudak? I've had some Excellent turn fights with Kermit. Him in his Typh and me in a 109k4. Wish his buddies (like Savage) wouldn't jump in to the fight when the fight is supposed to be between me and Kermit but....................

Mind if I butt in?

On the subject of headons, I think most are the plane running to you guns blazing, but there are others that just seem to happen during a fight. It seems guys that fly planes good at the rope P38, 109s, eventually force the other plane to try for the headon as a last chance. Thats when the high plane has roped the lower, and comes down to get the shot, but the lower guy saved just enough E to get his nose up one last time.

The P38 Osprey hangs like a mf and it always seems to have 3 seconds more hangtime than you hoped it did. When I get in that position, I take the shot, hoping to atleast hit the pilot or engine and send the guy home. During fights, after a merge, I feel all HO restrictions have expired.

I agree.
I try to avoid HO's totally. They detract from the fun of a good fight, good fights being increasingly hard to find these days. However, as long as an enemy pilot doesn't try to HO me on the first merge, I won't complain if he does on the second, third, fourth etc.
However, if the opposing pilot is one of those - HO - Run - Turn - HO kinda guys, the gloves come off.

if i remember correctly u blew off my 6 the 1st time we met that night, I was thinking, "There is no way this tiffie is going to get the shot on me." Then the next thing you know I'm flopping to the ground with no tail feathers

Kermit is on my list of people to kill!! Only problem i have with kermit is having Herb pick me in his 262 (:: Betty knows better than locking horns with me. Our two squads have great fights and their #1 on WOTs lets have some fun list.

fighting with the WoT that 1 night long ago when it started as just fx and elevenk vs me and betty (bait). That was a lot of fun. I never fought se well or been so lucky ever. It ended up being a whole squad vs squad fight/furball for a few hours. I'll never forget killing El Guapo's spit14..hehe, bastard caused me to use up my fuel and never did get to land those 14 kills. I think killnU was there, or was it kappa? It was a P38 pilot with a K as the first letter.

Back to the subject.

I wish bigr would have known bigr wasn't going to hold his fire on the first merge. Yes you did have a shot, but only because I purposely got close to you and I wasn't going for a shot. If I was, we would have collided, or you would have turned to avoid and I'd have shot ya.

I did learned something from that fight though. I've learned that you have excellent gunnery in that P38.

i remember that fight between our squads, that was shortly after i joined the unforgiven and started flyin the tiff, that was alot of fun, i died alot that night thanks to elevenk <>

we should do that again, i am still a noob, but, i try really hard to put up a good fight.
