Heres the picture to go along with the title. Once again, I'm too lazy to resize pictures. So linky

Heart surgery?

Man, I hope all goes well.

My son just had his tonsils out and I was freaking right out about that!

As heart surgery goes, this one is pretty routine. At least thats what his doctor and surgeon said. He has a heart murmur (sp?) and they implant a stint in his heart. But, anything implanted can cause infection so thats what they are watching for more than anything.

heart surgery may be "routine" for them , but not for you, hoping for the best for you.

I appreciate the sentiment guys. And john, this is definately not routine for me. In fact, no one in my family has ever had heart problems. So, everything I know about it is from friends whom have either had something done, or has had family members who had something done.

Hope it goes well estes, my son is the same age, and I know I'd find anything like that pretty worrying.

Tonight I'll say a prayer for your son.
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Estes,

I hope it goes well for you and your little one. Please keep us updated on how things progress for him. I hope this will be the only surgery he'll need.
