Wierd.  Ants are not a favorite of mine either.

A couple of summers ago I had to move a crap load of boats (heavy ones at that) out of the water at my Camp up onto the beach to keep them safe from a hurricane.

The next day the field we placed them on was flooded.  There was about 3-4 inches of water throughout the whole thing.  So I was rerigging the boats to get them ready to go back in the water.

Suddenly I noticed an odd sensation.  My right foot kinda felt like it was on fire.  Suddenly it really felt like it was on fire.  I looked down to see a gaggle of fire ants having fun.  I whipe them off uneventfully.

That is until I realized somehow those ****heads survived 3 inches of water, and still tried to attack me.

I wonder how many 900 type calls the queen made. I hope that guy checks for a big phone bill. I can imagine him trying to explain it to the phone company..   "No dude, it was the ANTS making all those calls to porn sites!!!"   :O   :lol

In our subdivision here, we have a large infestation of Carpenter Ants, utilizing Old Maple Trees for their colonies.   Two years ago they made the journey in our home, I found one ant in our Dishwasher.   I called Orkin and we are now the ONLY house with which they avoid.   Best $70 every other month payment we make.

D-con ant be gone!:aok   Had a cronic problem with those little donuts.  I found a cupple of ther hidouts, one in a gutter, and one in a landscaping timber, but they are all over the place.  I lay out a dozen or so ant be gone traps at the beginning of the year and I havnt had a problem since.
