If sailing is an art it by cannot be perfected, just as painting, sculpture, or music cannot be.
There is the science of sailing... the plastics, the synthetics, electronics, computer design. Machines can sail the machines made by the machines better than man.
... but among the works of Men, those things created with craftsmanship and skill wrought from the experience of man, sailing craft rendered in the medium of iron and wood have never been and will never be more perfect works of art than the Ships from The Wizard of Bristol.
