I have bought several BFG cards and never had an issue with them flopping around inside the box.

Dace, sorry to hear that.  You should be able to send it back to the place you bought it from, not to eVGA on warranty.  Sending in on warranty to the manufacturer can take a very long time to get a replacement -- returning it for replacement from where you bought (retailer) should take days to get a replacement.  If that's not the case for you, I suggest using newegg.com next time.  They were great when I had the same trouble.

The eVGA cards are probably fine as long as they don't break in shipment, but I had two in a row arrive broken in shipment and could tell from their packing and the card design that breakage would be a major issue for eVGA.

I ended up going with XFX, which had (at least for me) very good, safe packaging and a double-lifetime warranty (warranty for you and for whoever you sell it to, if you do resell it).  I've been very happy with it.
