7800GT for sale
« on: April 19, 2006, 05:23:38 PM »
I got a 7900GTX to replace my 7800GT SLI set-up & I am selling one EVGA 7800GT (already sold the other to a local) here is the link to the card:

http://www.evga.com/products/moreinfo.asp?pn=256-P2-N516-AX&family=22

It runs AHII pretty darned good as a stand alone card; it's definetly no slouch. I bought the card last month so it's not very old. It's in perfect condition & I'll throw in a CivilizationIII game that's brand new & un-opened to boot. I wanted to go with a single card because my motherboard doesn't support X16 pci-express in both slots...only one; the other is X8 & I felt like I wasn't getting the full potential of SLI.

$235 in original package & with all the accessory cables & driver disc.

Send me a P.M. if you're interested, I already let my squad have first dibbs & now the rest of the AHII community gets a chance, if I get no responses it's going on E-bay. I also have a microsoft sidewinder joystick in good condition I might sweeten the deal with too......

I'm only going to hold this for the AHII community for a little while longer. Spread the word if you know anyone looking for a good 7800GT with less than a months use for nearly $100 off retail this is it.

Sorry for the "bump" but I would hate for a fellow AH'er to miss out on a great video card & then say "dang I wish I had known about it"

Sorry, too steep for me. I'm sure others will take you up on the offer, though?

Too bad it's out of your price range; you pay for quality. The 7900GTX I replaced my SLI set-up with was $550 ( roughly ) & these 7800's go for $300 + S & H when you can find them in stock.

I would much rather see a fellow AH'r get it & know someone is getting a good gaming experience than to sell it on E-bay for someone to play Doom with....kidding; but seriously I'm sorry I can't let it go for free as a "AHII charitable needs" donation.:D

Sorry Brenjen I'd take you up on it but I'd probably have to upgrade my psu also. Only a 400 watt .

I have read where people used 400watt p/s with these, but you would be right on the border line & it's quite possible you would need to upgrade it before this card would work correctly if you have an already power hungry system.:(

The link gives all the relevant info but; it's PCI-express x16. It will work in PCI-X8 but not in regular PCI. I believe it might be sold now anyway; just waiting on the payment to arrive.:aok
