 http://www.cnn.com/2001/ALLPOLITICS/stories/02/07/clinton.gore.reut/index.html

"In what sources close to both men described as uncommonly blunt language, Gore forcefully told Clinton that his sex scandal and low personal approval ratings were a major impediment to his presidential campaign, the Post said.

People close to Clinton told the newspaper the former president responded with equal force that it was Gore's failure to run on the administration's record that hobbled his ambition."

Al Gore is fading into history.  I suspect we will never hear of him politically in the future.  The Dems are totally dominated by the Clintons.  This is very good as Americans suffer from Clinton fatigue and the illness is getting worse.  Bill Clinton should be out in front of cameras everyday so we can see what this man is really made of.  It's when he goes behind closed doors that a myth can be created.

I am glad they can't figure out why Gore lost  Now, don't tell them either!!!!

Actually, the meeting was probably one-sided, with Clinton the disinterested party. I bet Clinton was amused at Gore's temper tantrum. Slick Willie has finished with Gore, folded him up like a cheap Miami beach chair and tossed him in the parkinglot dumpster.

Yes, but Gore also knew what happened to Vince Foster, thus he backed his president.

Yeah, lol!

Those ultra-conservative CNN guys just won't leave him alone!

Not to mention his own Vice President!

Whomever comes into contact with the Clinton's is used, abused, then tossed aside when no longer useful.  Witness Barak of Israel.  Another decent man who listened to Clinton and lived to regret it.

Al Gore is 10 times the man Clinton is, but Gore's blind loyalty to  Slick Willie/Democratic Party cost him what should have been a slam-dunk win for President.

I think it has become apparent to all, except the radical-Libs, what low-down scum the Clinton's are.

When are the so-called "enlightened" and "progressive" Libs going to wake up to the fact that the Clinton's only care about themselves , a trait that the Libs claim to despise in Conservatives??

Cabby, I believe alot of Dems are distancing themselves from the Clintonites as fast as they can...especially after the exit folly...its evident in the liberal press.

A few like Towd are still true believers, but denial is an emotion not felt by the subject.
