How many Springteen fans here?
I just saw a news clip concerning the celebration of his music career spanning 4 decades.
I know there are humongous amounts of Springteen fans, but I just never could get into the guy`s singing. He sort of grates on my nerves.
In the interview , I swear, you could have just listened to the audio and thought the Happy Gilmore character was being interviewed. :)
Anywho, he has had one helluva career, so I guess that`s what counts.

oddly enough.. my daughter likes his music. she says one of her favorite memories of daddy-daughter moments is sitting in my lap and driving the car around town... and I guess that's what Bruce does best... memories.

I don't know a ton of his work, but some is good, some hokey.

there's this slow sad song in "Cop Land" the movie that stallone is listening to on an album, sounds nice. thats the kind of springstein i like.

Been to 4 Springsteen concerts -- always a bang for you buck

Best one for me was probably the Born in the USA tour.

Overlook Bruce might as well overlook Bobby Dylan.

Actually - ol Bruce plays a pretty mean guitar. And well songwriting...well theres a reason they call him "the boss"....lol

BTW - both Dylan and Springsteen are at Jazzfest thise weekend. Bruce is out touring behind a new album - the "Seeger sessions", I believe.

I like some of his solo acoustic work "Nebraska" and "The ghost of Tom Joad" stick out. Haven't really listened to "Devils and Dust", but am curious about that and this new album "Seeger Session" Evidently it's a 17-piece acoustic band.

I have no problem with that.

I'd like to see Bob Dylan on American Idol.  Would love to see what that Simon guy would have to say about his voice.
