The guy didn't say anything in the article, just posted pics of his model. This would be sweet if it were accurate, but I'm skeptical because we haven't seen it skinned yet.

If it's real, and hasn't been skinned yet -- Why not?!?!?!?!?!

If it is real I might do it myself!

i am probably the LEAST knowledgable on this subject, but i think i remember something on the board about stripes on some of the jap planes being kamakazi markings, and not allowed or in bad taste or something. i dont remember if it was stripes on the tail, or what, but that model being named "special attack" brought that to mind.

oh well just rambling, i am probably totally wrong.

Personally, I don't care if it was the paint scheme for a kamikaze unit. They just took every and any plane they could so who knows if it had the paint scheme before hand?

Regardless, I don't think that should affect whether it's skinned or not. It's a nice looking skin, so I'd like to see it in AH.

What's the fuss? There are allready 100s of Kamakazi attacks performed every day in the Main.

i remember having a discussion about that skin a while ago, and i think mustaine is right, the writing on the skin and it's markings are all kamikaze, and many thought that it wasnt appropriate, and as far as HTC accepting it, dunno...

probably why no one has doe it, they feared they would spend ages doing it only for it to b turned down by HTC:(

It's a kamikaze plane alright.

The lettering on the torso of the plane reads: "must sink"

In hindsight, 60 years later, I can laugh at that. However the poor saps blackmailed into doing it by honor-laden guilt had no other choice. Either do it or be excommunicated from society (basically). Sad, really.

However, I'm still planning on doing it, so this and any other info is much appreciated.

IIRC the discussion went into how HTC does not model kamakazi attacks (meaning you can auger all you want, but it will not damage objects).

i don't remember the whole thing, and i don't remember if it was in this forum or the aircraft forum, but it was discussed.

i think there is a certian marking on tails too, stripes of some kind, they are not "allowed" on skins like swastikas.

like i said, i could be wrong, but i remember the discussion was quite long.
