Mac here, hence the reference to WWIIOL as THE alternative to the current situation.

A Mac port for AH would bring me over in a flash.  I havent flown WB for more than a month now.  I find the game depressing (2D, frequent damage and gunnery changes, community infighting, no changes in months), and I fell quite guilty about turning off after 13 years of intense enjoyment...

Anyway, here´s to the future!

Frequent gunnery/damage changes? There has been no damage or gunnery changes in quite some time. There has been NO gunnery or damage changes since 2.76 came out. Why perpetuate DISINFORMATION?

I see the consumer's value as what he gets/what he gives.  Price is the easy part of the value equation to change.  What he gets in return for his money is not so easy for everyone to change.  A big part of the value our product is that it is constantly improving.  It's why we don't do anything else other than develop AH.  

It's been two years since HT and I left Warbirds.  In the two years prior to us departing, we went from version 1.09 to 2.5.  From 17 plane choices to 55.  We also produced DoA and FO in that period.  If you've been happy with the progress in the two years since we've left, then by all means you should stay there.  We realized coming into this that up-front, our biggest competitor would be ourselves.

In the 5 years I've been doing this, there's constantly been somebody to tell us how this or that product is going to come out and crush us.  But we've just kept doing our thing and improving while the hype just drags out.  C'est la vie.  We're comfortable with who we are and how we do things.  You should be comfortable with your decisions too.

Good compliment rip, well thought out and written. No spelling errors either. I would give it a 9 out of 10 actually. The only reason I don't give it a 10 is because I don't believe in perfection. The timing was excellent too, no posts in between yours or Pyro's. Very impressive.

Don't expect too much of an improvement. Any improvement you will get is due to better fill rate, but you can watch your GPU go pretty much unused.
