I have been getting Punted latly.

 I get:

AcesHigh.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
You will need to restart the program.

When I try to restart, the same box just re-appears.

I have to reboot and then it the program will run again.

Why?

Normally, this is a driver related error condition, where a driver (sound or video, typically) is not in a good state when the game starts.  A reboot resets the errant driver back to a sane state.

That's just a guess.  What video card, sound card, and drivers are you using?  And what in-game video settings are you using?  Are you using any custom sound packs?

Thank you Skuzzy.

This dosnt happen all the time. I was able to have the error recreated twice in the training arena. Once bye widewing and i ferget the other.
But was pretty much as I thought, seams your starting to get the same problem AW had. To many Cheifs w/the keys to the game. I was punted bye a Knight MOD. This used to happen alot in AW specially towards the end and usually later at night. I know its hard to babysit all your Mods but maybe a talk or two will work for a month or so.

Far as my puter goes its in good shape 939 chipset w/a 6600 and 1gig ram
run it a 1024x512 and get 100 frames .

Thanx Again

If you are running the latest video drivers from NVidia, there have been a number of reports of problems with them, by the way.

I have been having random crashes also. Mine may show the fatal error message you describe, sometimes it just shuts down or hard locks & I have to turn off the PC.

I have tried several different drivers over the past couple years on three different Nvidia cards & the 84.56 drivers that are out now are solid. If you have an ASUS motherboard you need those drivers, it's really finicky about the Nvidia drivers it uses. I believe my problem may be thermal in nature (not sure yet)
