Tonight(Monday May 1) is the B17s first mission into France. The target will be A49. Due to an arena reset Im not sure if the Spit9 will be available or not.  Form at 9pm et

I'm sorry, poor reading comprehension on my part, I'll go add the Spit9 now...

edit: Taken care of, SpitIX now available at rear fields.

Allied Mission #1 AAR

The bombers were tore up just as we entered the Channel. Our escort as small as it was did great!  Half of us made it to target but I screwed my calibration up bad and had to go around, 3 enemy chewed on me before I could drop though.

Target damage: Minimal- Tex### dropped a fuel and barracks, possibly radar.

  Mission: Failure
Extremely heavy losses to bombers, light damage to target.

Nice job everyone thanks for flying it.

Look for another mission Thursday night same time (9pm et)

seemed like the bombers tore the fighters up pretty well too.  I logged on for one sortie at 21:46 and saw a lot of 109 drivers scrambling into the air.  I don't think any bombers RTB'd though.

No none rtb'd. I got Nord1, and a few assists.  I wish I had remembered to film that. The instant you guys attacked...it was awesome.

We had 1 guy in the bomb group, who was unaware how we've been doing this saying.."Ok..whos the spy?!!!"  We explained that this is how we do it to make a good engagement..we just came up short with fighters.
Normally Id make an intercept boundary that the enemy cant cross mid channel, but since it was such a short run I didnt think it was necessary.

I've got it on video @ home. I'll throw the video I have online... although it's kind of embaressing.

It's 30 minutes of me stuggling to keep up with the rest of the 190s (I had rockets). Followed by the ugliest pass through the bombers you've ever seen (missed with the !*&$!*# rockets). Somehow I started getting kills at this point. Made a good, final pass at the buff's 6 & emptied close to 400 cannon rounds in 1 long burst. I think I had 2 kills at this point, and was getting into the fight with the escorts.

Got great video of 4 escorts attacking PropNut and me running to the rescue (big to Prop for rescuing me later). I was so far behind the buffs at this point, I don't think the video will do all that good. Fought more Spit escorts on the way back, and then all of a sudden 3 more kills came during my last exchanges with a Spit, all bombers I had hosed early.

Landed 5 in the end, still not sure how. I'll link the video in a few hours :)

to the escorts & buff drivers
to plat, prop, nord, and the rest of the 190 guys!

<> was fun flying beside ya  :aok

can't wait till the next one...

LOL btw i think i found the 109 cieling...I was around 32K and i could hear my 109G2 screaming at me "please no higher please I cant breath."  the air was so thin up there that "autoclimb" seemed like "autopilot" and "autopilot" seemed like i was pushing my stick foward for a dive.  But mayb thats was because i had a DT and gondies..

That was my first up and first flight in an FW in two years.  Thanks all for the effort, was a worthy evening, but I would like to see some P-47 escorted flights .

Am Happy to fly for either side if I can get on.

Yes, I haven't had a sneak kill on an escorting Jug in too long! ;)
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.
