The one and only time I had to go under was for my appendix. This was like 6 yrs ago now. As a matter of fact it was the week of the Indy AW Con. I almost went to the Con and after the appendix attack I was glad I didnt.

I was nervous about being knocked out, but I went into some weird zone of shutdown. I just totally relaxed and went with it. Like my mind knew my body needed to do that.

Glad you got your appendix taken care of Filth....that can be dangerous!

ROC......I am ALWAYS ready for AA.  Been playing it quite a bit online (wife ack less severe as I can play with the laptop in the family room....LOL).

Let me know when you guys are playing....Ill be playing today and tomorrow for a bit.  On a positive note....I can play it without the use of the knee so that may be my time killer/waster in my recovery period!!!!

Just make sure you have one of your squaddies call you later in the afternoon after your surgery.  There's nothing like trying to hold a conversation with your squad CO while you're still groggy from the general anesthesia.  *points at daddog*

I barely remember it, but I was thinking "who the heck am I talking to? I don't know this person!  Why are the calling me, and how did they know I had surgery today???  OOOOHHHH, it's Daddog!!!"  :)  You should try it!  It's a blast!

seriously, good luck with the surgery.  :)

Thanks everyone!   I head in about 12 hours....NOT looking forward to it but it has to be done.

Nifty,

I noticed you were in Pcola!  I was stationed at Hurlburt for 7 years and I still have a house in Fort Walton Beach!

Small world huh?

:)  Yup, been here my whole life except for college.  Guy I work with retired from the Air Force and still lives over near Hurlburt.  He gets to play with Hwy 98 traffic every morning and evening!  Lucky him!  ;)
