Hey i was looking through the internet for a good combat flight sim and found this, im downloading it now, anyone tell me if its a good game?

Also saw the commercial for this game, it looks pretty good.

Looking for a squad, I have played other combat sims and im pretty goood at them. I did play air warrior a long time ago.

Wont be on for a week or two, i got finals coming up that i really to do good on, so i have to study alot and do good. Parents aint letting me on until the finals are over with.

Im 16 about to turn 17 in october, i have a mature attitude.

So ill see you guys in the server!

Welcome to your new addiction .
The game is fantastic, just be ready for the steep leaning curve.
As to squad, just ask to fly with a few before deciding to join. This makes sure they fit your style (historic, strict squad nights , ect...ect...ect).

Well...there is this one squad you should avoid. I can't really go in to it here .......................becaus e............................ ............................u m............................ .............if they find out ............................. ............things could happen.

No, I wouldnt say theres someone here that you should avoid at all costs. All in all, this community is great. The odd bad apple, but hey, were all human, arent we?

AH has one of the best and most accurate flight models out there. Dont be surprised when it takes you some time to learn - its definitly worth the effort. For eye candy - well, theres sure to be better out there, but none (at least that I know of) that run online with those numbers and with such detailed FM.

Take the time to skim through Help Section - it will be well worth the time. Another great page to get you going is Hammers Net Aces. Training arena and the Trainer Corps are also available at basically all times.

If youre looking for a Squad: Take Bronks advice and fly with them for a while before deciding. Check out the Squadron forum at the bottom of the forums. Recruiting Squads usually post there.

Your post shows some sense and maturity. Take a few days to read up...lot's of good help can be found at http://www.netaces.org

Stick with one ride for awhile...learn its strenghts and weakness's. Hurricane's and Spitfires are a good start.

Once you get a good footing, squads will seek you out. In the meanwhile try and find a wingman to work with. If you fly for Bishops, look for anyone in The Flying Circus. Most are decent sticks and don't mind working with noobies.

Good Luck...and questions...post em over in the Help&Training section of the forum. Also be sure to seek out a Trainer in the Training Arena.

just played a quick h2h match with a few peps...either they suck or i am a natural. I kept killing this guy named, raptor01. they said he was pretty good but i dont know.

i was flying the...p38g.

most H2H guys are little kids who didnt subscribe after the 2 week trial, but there are a few really great guys and sticks out there

yeah raptor is a very decent pilot, you probably cought him in odd circumstances or you were vulching him:)

475th and 479th are the only two true 38 squads in AH.

well there is alot to learn, so many buttons to press this is what i know so far

X=autopilot
Q=flaps
W=flaps
E=engine
altx=autoclimb

thats all i know so far

will try out the bombers later

I have an X52 joystick so im programming all of these buttons into it

whats vulching?

i was dogfighting him, he said i was good for a first timer. he also said begginers luck

Yes, i did....the handling has changed a bit but pretty much feels the same.
