Heres A Thought.... New Plane Fund
« on: May 29, 2006, 02:08:23 PM »
Ok so HTC has a small crew and a building a new model requires a lot of work

  • Data on the performance
  • Correct and detailed dimensions
  • Decent quality photos of the internal and external
  • Building the 3D model with moving parts
  • Building the bits you missed when you were busting you hump at 3 am
  • Testing the flight model
  • ect....

So what I am getting at....

Well there are a bunch of us who want the same planes. for example the B-25 in a number of its forms ect....

And I was wondering how much HTC would need to justify building a new plane at request...

I bet the HTC crew would see this idea and think "Like Hell, If we did that then anyone who put so much as a cent into the fund would complain that they the plane was not modeled right, that it top speed was to low ect..."

I think we all know that this would happen so as a discalimer the following would have to be agreed to by anyone who donated...

  • FM will be modeled on available data
  • Dont complain if its perked
  • Dont complain if we find that we have to change the FM for the worse
  • No discussions based on hear say will be entered into
  • Dont complain it you dont get the skin you want
  • We will not model that one off conversion made for a mission that was aborted
  • No your not getting the shark with the friggin lazer beams for eyes.

Perhaps A totally new plane would be just to costly for this idea, but what about remodeling current planes or adding the other vairients the 37mm Stuka or the YB-40 for example...

Yeah I know what some of you are thinking, "why do that they will get done for free anyway" Well I am thinking more along the lines of the classic planes that dont get flown much.

  • Hurri 1
  • F4U-1
  • P40-B
  • Stuka
  • AR-234

Anyway, its just a thought....

Sure its a fun plane to fly, but would it not be nice to punch hole in tigers with those 37mm cannons.

I dont like this idea, cause all those dweebs living in their mothers basement at 40, since they dont and wont ever have a girlfriend, have a lot of MickyD's money floating around from flipping burgers and the first thing we shall get with this new idea would be the B-29.
