Best flying to be found in Aces High.
One life event, so no endless reups, which does change the way you look at things eventually.
It does a very good imitation of real combat, ie 30 min of pure boredom, followed by 2 min of excitement and 20 seconds of start raving terror. Followed by another 30- 60 min of boredom.

The thing about squad ops, is its never the same. Orders change, tatics change, one time your on top and the next your toast. One frame your flying high in the best fighter on the field. The next your a NOE suicide bomber just hoping to get through to target.
Its NOT boring, it may spoil you for the endless furball/landgrab in the main.
If your really interested find a squad you know & email them. You just need an "arrangement" with a squadron BEFORE the frame. That can be an email, a phone call, or talking it over in the main before the event.
What doesn't work is just showing up and expecting to fly.
"3. Guests
- Unassociated pilots, (those from non participating squads) will be allowed to participate in the event in order to give them a feel of what the Squad Operations is all about.
- Unassociated pilots may also post in the Squad Operations forum asking for a guest spot in the current Squad Operations. Or they may use the C.O. and X.O. contact list on the Squad Operations web site. They may apply for a “guests” spot that each squadron holds. It is entirely up to the squadron CO. He will accept or reject such an application or request from guest pilots.
- If guest is accepted into the squadron for the Squad Operations, in the eyes of Squad Operations crew he is a part of this squadron, and the CO of his squadron will be held responsible for this guest's actions/behavior. "
If you can't find a spot anywhere else cav email me at
ghosth@mcleodusa.net We'll hook you up for a frame or 2. We do have high standards and expect people to behave in a civilized manner, and have fun
