You slammed a guy and started calling him names first and for no apparent reason.
You could have explained to all this to him without name calling and rubbin it in his face.

Then you come here and throw fuel to the fire hoping you'd get support from your veteran buddies... Thats lame.

"...for no apparent reason."

I too own a P-51C and have even raced an SR-71 at 75,000 feet with it.  If I could have gotten the damn Merlin out of 2nd and into 3rd gear I might have even beaten the cheating, afterburner-using AF jockey.

So that was you in the P-51 Westy.  Yeah, I thought you had me for a minute, but once I lit the afterburners, I started walking the SR-71 away from you.

Oh...I called him Voss too.  I know calling someone Voss is hitting below the belt but claiming to own a P-51 and fly for Air America leaves on open to such names.

A little side note...

The control reversal mentioned in the liars' post is from the movie "The Sound Barrier" starring Ralph Richardson. It was BS then and it is BS now.

Which was a great indication of "troll".
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

I'm in awe of the guys who fought in/over Laos and Cambodia.  Talk about putting your neck way out there.  So I'm hesitant to judge harshly.  If he's for real you guys are going to feel ****ty.

PS, control reversal at transonic speeds was reported for many WW2 types.  The guy may have confused "breaking the sound barrier" with "entering compressibility regime" but the basic idea is correct.

Well, the only thing I am going to say about it other than what I already have is that:

1.  The Phillipino's had F-86's but not F-100's as sourced here....  http://www.paf.mil.ph/Gallery2/oldaircraft.html

2.  The P-38 did not have fabric on it's control surfaces, ever.  The only fabric in the airframe where boots in the booms to keep baggage from sliding down, the seat back cushion, the "extra" equipment bag, and patches over the lighting holes.

3.  The 51 did not have all fabric control surfaces either.  The ailerons were all metal, and later on the elevators were too.  The H model introduced the all metal Rudder.

4.  Every person I ever met that had anything to do with the group Air America never volunteered that info....
