FYI--
Was sent to me by a fellow member of the USAF

This is for all the kids born in the 70's that do not
remember this, and didn't have to bear the burden, that
our fathers, mothers, and older brothers and sisters had to bear.

Jane Fonda is being honored as one of the "100 Women of
the Century." Unfortunately, many have forgotten and
still countless others have never known how Ms. Fonda
betrayed not only the idea of our country but specific
men who served and sacrificed during Vietnam.

The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot. The pilot's
name is Jerry Driscoll, a River Rat. In 1978, the former
Commandant of the USAF Survival School was a POW in Ho Lo
Prison-the "Hanoi Hilton." Dragged from a stinking
cesspit of a cell, cleaned, fed, and dressed in clean
PJs, he was ordered to describe for a visiting American
"Peace Activist" the "lenient and humane treatment" he'd
received. He spat at Ms. Fonda, was clubbed, and dragged
away.

During the subsequent beating, he fell forward upon the
camp Commandant's feet, which sent that officer berserk.
In '78, the AF Col. still suffered from double vision
(which permanently ended his flying days) from the
Vietnamese Col.'s frenzied application of a wooden baton.
From 1963-65, Col. Larry Carrigan was in the 47FW/DO
(F-4Es). He spent 6 -years in the "Hilton"- the first
three of which he was "missing in action". His wife lived
on faith that he was still alive. His group, too, got the
cleaned/fed/clothed routine in preparation for a "peace
delegation" visit.

They, however, had time and devised a plan to get word to
the world that they still survived. Each man secreted a
tiny piece of paper, with his SSN on it, in the palm of
his hand. When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a cameraman,
she walked the line, shaking each man's hand and asking
little encouraging snippets like: "Aren't you sorry you
bombed babies?" and "Are you grateful for the humane  >
treatment from your benevolent captors?" Believing this
HAD to be an act, they each palmed her their sliver of
paper.

She took them all without missing a beat. At the end of
the line and once the camera stopped rolling, to the
shocked disbelief of the POWs, she turned to the officer
in charge and handed him the little pile of papers. Three
men died from the subsequent beatings. Col. Carrigan was
almost number four but he survived, which is the only
reason we know about, her actions that day.

I was a civilian economic development advisor in Vietnam,
and was captured by the North Vietnamese communists in
South Vietnam in 1968, and held for over 5 years. I spent
27 months in solitary confinement, one year in a cage in
Cambodia, and one year in a "black box" in Hanoi. My
North Vietnamese captors deliberately poisoned and
murdered a female missionary, a nurse in a leprosarium in
Ban me Thuot, South Vietnam, whom I buried in the jungle
near the Cambodian border.

At one time, I was weighing approximately 90 lbs. (My
normal weight is 170 lbs.) We were Jane Fonda's "war
criminals."

When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi, I was asked by the camp
communist political officer if I would be willing
to meet with Jane Fonda. I said yes, for I would like to
tell her about the real treatment we POWs received
different from the treatment purported by the North
Vietnamese, and parroted by Jane Fonda, as "humane and
lenient." Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky
floor on my knees with outstretched arms with a large
amount of steel placed on my hands, and beaten with a
bamboo cane till my arms dipped.

I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda for a
couple of hours after I was released. I asked her if she
would be willing to debate me on TV. She did not answer
me.

This does not exemplify someone who should be honored as
part of "100 Years of Great Women." Lest we forget..."100
years of great women" should never include a traitor
whose hands are covered with the blood of so many
patriots. There are few things I have strong visceral
reactions to, but Hanoi Jane's participation in blatant
treason, is one of them.

edit, upon further info, it seems that this piece is a stretch of the truth. While she is still a treasoness winch that doesnt deserve citizenship in the USA, the above is an exaggeration to just fuel peoples hate for her. I don't hate jane fonda, however I find her actions during the Vietnam War dispicable, and have a hard time accepting her apology. I hope she redeems herself with God.

Of course, I only see what he posts here and what he does in the MA.  I know virtually nothing about the man.  I think its important for people to realize that we don't really know squat about each other.... definately not enough to use words like "hate".

While a squeak, the "piece of paper" tale appears to be fabricated.  She did plenty of other toejamty stuff though.

I have boycotted EVERY product she endorsed and film she was in. I will not spend a penny to help support this traitorous imbecile. Her apology was about as cogent as the Japanese governments apology for Pearl Harbor and actions in Bataan.

Long before there was an internet, Hanoi Jane had established her stance with Vietnam veterans.

One of my JROTC instructors in high school was a 30 year active duty veteran. He was among the first to be Green Berets. He fought in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He maxed out at E-9 (Command Sergeant Major) and refused to go officer because he loved being in the field.

He had two wishes: bring back any MIAs that might still be alive and kill Jane Fonda.

Even the more "enlightened" officer, a retired Major who also served in Korea and Vietnam, wished Jane Fonda had to pay for her crimes against this country and especially its armed forces.

These two men are among the best I have ever known. They have my respect and loyalty. It is in their honor that I will speak out against Jane Fonda every time there is an opportunity. I don't need bogus internet stories to convince me that Jane Fonda is a criminal. I have the word of honorable men who were there and devoted the majority of their lives to defending our country.

It is the irony of life that people who do what is right suffer and die while those who act selfishly are rewarded with all the success the material world can provide. My one hope is that justice may finally be served after death. Though in Jane Fonda's case, justice would be a slow painful death.

The message itself irritates me because someone felt the need to manufacture events to make Jane Fonda sound worse.  The truth is, there is no need to embelish... she should have been imprisoned upon her return to the states.  People that served in that conflict have every right to hate her.  People that lost loved ones in that conflict have every right to hate her.  People that have a lick of common sense and realize that going to a nation that is killing our soldiers and posing for PR photos is a bad idea have every right to hate her.

Its important to know the real reasons a person should be hated... not fabricated ones.

I honestly didnt realize that the stuff I posted was untrue. I grew up in the house of a very patriotic father that got absolutely irritated any time Jane Fonda's name was mentioned. The mention of anything having to do with her caused him to change the channel and mumble some explicite adjectives. I picked it up being that I looked up to my DAD as he was my hero. Then I grow up and become the same Patriotic man he is, join  the USAF at age 19, mumble the same adjectives at the mention of her name, etc... I want to apologize for posting this. To all of you and to that treasoness winch, Jane Fonda. She still doesnt deserve Citizenship, much less to be honored, however I despise a lie much more than her. So I sincerely apologize for posting those untruths about her.

I will leave it up there and I will edit it to say that it is untrue according to some sources that seem reliable.

Whats really sad is the number of people alive today who thought Hanoi Jane was a hero.  Funny how these folks don't do allot of talking on the subject.  Hanoi Jane is a traitorous squeak true, but I have even less respect (maybe I should say more disrespect lol) for those who were on HER side years ago but being very quiet about it now.
