I'm drinking Cider and Vodka and listening AC/DC's "High Voltage" from '74 (first published record from them).
Later we will have BBQ and Sauna at my friends house and after that a party in private club open 24hours/day.

Visiting with an old friend and his wife and daughter.
Petals floating by,
      Drift through my woman's hand,
             As she remembers me-

I just woke up with a killer hangover. Some friends and I bought a bottle of black vodka names BLAVOD. The thing is evil I tell you. But I have a recipee against hangover: whole bottle of Pepto-Bismol, 3 Tylenols, some tasty greasy food (but not too much of it) and a lot of 7-Up, very cold.

Tonight, Saturday, I am taking a girl to Houlihans to eat, and then we are staying in their bar. Open Bar, free drinks

After that, her level of blood alcohol will take over and decide what we do next.

plan for the weekend? none. And that's the way I like. To be able to do things on a whim. I'll play some AH, some WB, perhaps go to the movies.

The weather is very nice, so definitely some pool time.

Here I thought I was alone with this knowledge  :)

I woke up with a really bad hangover one morning I ate about 5-6 pieces of pickled herring an hour later no headache or upset stomach just a numb feeling from the alcohol still running thru my system  :)

But I stopped drinkin' a year ago so this weekend will be spent developing a powerpoint presentation for class monday (yeehaw).

i just got back from cleaning up the beach with my volunteer group

- next i am off to take some orphans to the zoo and then on a field trip to see carrot-top. he sure is funny with those funny props... golly.

later is the fundraising dinner for cats with attention deficit disorder and then it's campfire song night with my 'homies' at the midnight basketball league downtown - they sure use colorful language those wacky disadvantaged urban youth!

( i think staga has it right - any day with blaring ac/dc is a good day)

 ;)

Wmaker I saw only 2 or 3 GT40s in the pits but I didn't have time to see all the cars.  Usually there are 6-10 GT40s at that event.

There was some great racing.  There was an  awesome race (Group 5a) between a pair of Ferrari 250 LMs and a pair of 427SC Cobras.  The lead changed hands 3 times (in only a 10-lap race) and the winning Cobra made a banzai braking move to pass one of the LMs going into the last turn, then got sideways coming out of the turn and barely won the drag race to the flag.

The only bad things were my sunburn and a guy who spun his Ferrari 250 TR into the wall while fighting with another Ferrari and a pair of Maseratis in Group 6a.  It's sad to see such a nice car get wrecked, but the driver was OK, and it's good to see somebody who has the balls to race such a rare car.    :)
