Wmaker I saw only 2 or 3 GT40s in the pits but I didn't have time to see all the cars. Usually there are 6-10 GT40s at that event.
There was some great racing. There was an awesome race
(Group 5a) between a pair of Ferrari 250 LMs and a pair of 427SC Cobras. The lead changed hands 3 times (in only a 10-lap race) and the winning Cobra made a banzai braking move to pass one of the LMs going into the last turn, then got sideways coming out of the turn and barely won the drag race to the flag.
The only bad things were my sunburn and a guy who spun his Ferrari 250 TR into the wall while fighting with another Ferrari and a pair of Maseratis in
Group 6a. It's sad to see such a nice car get wrecked, but the driver was OK, and it's good to see somebody who has the balls to race such a rare car.
