hey hey
« on: May 20, 2006, 02:59:19 PM »
hi guys, its been along 10 months since i was recruited but im still alive and kicking.
i feel like i owe you an update, i still miss the game and especialy the community and hope all is well. hope you havent forgotten me (yet) and if so, heres a quick REMINDER

last 10 months was the most crazy time of my life. with nearly no free time. so im sorry if you tried to contact me and got no response, i was at home only one weekend a month didnt have much time for the computer.

so heres where im standing now, i just finished the second phase of the course and got a week off vacation.
first phase was 6 months and included bootcamp some academic studies (math, basic physics, history) and 15 flights called "checks" where the preliminary sorting is made. we flew a Grob G-120a its a small piston plane, with nice aerobatics abilities.

the second phase is the officer course, and its the phisicly toughest pahse in the course, with lots of navigating and walking, also some more academic studies and parachuting course.

and now im standing at the crucial phase of the "fighter checks" 10 flights that will decide if im going to be a fighter pilot, helicopter pilot, navigator or "the guy who sits in the back of the C130s and boeings" no idea how its called in english
:)

im gonna fly a jet called tzukit its an israely improvment of the old french fuga magister.

so thats me in a nutshell.
as i said, i really miss the community and would love to hear from you guys.
a quick look on HTC site says the game has evolved alot, how is TOD going on? is it really as good as it looks? i still have an active account, but no joystick or will to play the game, i have a week and im not going to waste it on the computer.

ill keep you all updated after the checks, wish me luck, it aint going to be easy.

Hi Flyboy!!!

Glad to hear everything is working out for ya, keep up the good work! So how long will this next phase take to determine what you get to do?

As for ToD, it's still about 2 weeks away:D  They have changed the flight model which seemed to have help all planes over all. The P38 has a flap bug now and the 109s are very competitive after the last update. Other than that, same old same. Be sure to visit a toolshed vs furballer thread before you leave:p

Good luck to you and stay safe .

Just show your flight instructors your 2004 King of the Hill Tournament of Champions plaque.  They'll make ya' a fighter pilot for sure.

sir, and I hope you continue to work hard and try your best.  I can't wait until your back in the virtual AH skies all rusty and out of practice so I can taunt you and shoot you down w/ impunity.  Then again, I always did.

I think I had a job similar to this once.  It was sitting on the back of a spreader wagon keeping the spreader wheel clear of jams.  Very FRAGRANT job.  :)  Talk about having a s*** job!  lol

Best of luck on getting that pilot's seat!  :aok
