American Flag Raised At The Border On Its New Permanent Pole

" It was a clear, hot, windy day. The Minutemen sat the end of the flag pole on the ground, tilted it skyward, lowered it into its foundation hole, and sat it permanently on a hilltop looking back at America and directly at Mexico across the border.

It can be seen for miles and miles in every direction. It is a claim by American Patriots of their Sovereignty. A Border Patrol helicopter flew by during the ceremonial placing of the flag.

The flag is 8 feet by 12 feet and flys on a flag pole reaching 35 feet into the sky.  The wind folds and unfolds the flag, and it snaps at anyone near.

The location is Patriot Point at Campo, California.  Campo is a Minutemen Project observation point used for reporting illegal entry into America."

The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

[sarcasm]Yea don't they know that showing signs of pride in ones country by waving the flag is one of the 14 signs of a fascist regeim[/sarcasm]

On a more serious note if it is going to be permanent should they not put some sort of light on it?

I would have thought that they would have used one of those massive flags you see at car dealerships down south. Still cool tho.

After all this time I still love to sit and watch the Flag wave in the wind. To see how free it moves and to think back at what we all have done to protect this great symbol of freedom.

I think all the people who have fought and died just to keep this land free and the to keep the flag waveing so free atop it's pole.

*  Ten percent of Mexicans now live in the United States.
    * Fifteen percent of the Mexican workforce lives in the U.S.
    * One in every 7 Mexican workers "migrates" to the U.S.
    * Mexicans make up 56% of what the Chronicle refers to as the "unauthorized U.S. migrant population."  I'll translate:  Mexicans make up 56% of illegal aliens in the U.S.
    * There are some Mexican communities that have almost no workers left.  They've gone to the U.S.
    * Mexicans in the U.S. send about $20 billion a year back to their homes in Mexico.  This amount exceeds Mexico's income from all oil exports and is much higher than Mexico's revenue from tourism.
    * The $20 billion that Mexicans send back home exceeds the entire foreign aid budget of the United States.
    * In five Mexican states the money sent home by those who have invaded the United States exceeds total locally generated income.
