Hollywood Screw-Ups or "How Did THAT Get There?"
« on: May 23, 2006, 10:24:28 PM »
What are some of the greatest goofs/errors to be missed by film editors and make their way into the final version of Hollywood's most famous movies?

For instance:  In a scene from the movie "Ivanhoe" Cedric the Saxon, attending a joust, makes the statement, "No quisling norman can unhorse MY son!"

What other scenes can you think of?

Can't think of any off hand...but I spot mistakes all the time...you'd think that with all the money invested, they would do a better job..

Oh here's one..In Termanator 2 when the T-1000 rides the Police Motorcycle into the building then up the stairs...when he rides into the building it is some sort of Cruiser style bike..but as they show it going up the stairs, it is clearly a Dirt-Bike made to look like a police bike...they didn't even bother to dub over the 2-stroke engine sound.

I saw a show about this kind of stuff a while back.  The one that I remember is at the end of Teen Wolf.  One of the guys in the stands at the basketball game whips out his willy.  Oops  :)

In "Barely Legal #74" that's actually me but the credits read Ron Jeremy.

T-rex is a british band from the late '60s-early '70s, goats are vehicles manufactured by GMC division pontiac which was heavily influenced by John Z. DeLorean and popularized by American pop band the Monkees, John Z. DeLorean was also a dinosaur.  I've established that it was indeed possible for John Z. DeLorean to have eaten goats.

In ferris Bueller, during one of the parade scenes, a blonde chick with short hair flashes her cooter.  She was wearing a dress, but had not bothered to wear underwear.

Since about 4-5 years ago, they edited it out PERFECTLY by putting a cheering person that raises his hand to fit over her crotch at the exact perfect moment it happened.

To this day, with all the modern computer graphics, there hasn't been a piece of smoother editing in ANY MOVIE EVER.  If you look VERY CLOSELY you can only barely tell that the guy who raises his hands has been edited in.

I dont know about this. Seems abit far fetched. Being that DeLoreans are time machines, I can see taking a goat to the late Cretacious period to feed it to a T-Rex. Some coke head eating a Pontiac just doesnt hold water. Just saying.

During the fight with the "Mig 28s" at the end of Top Gun. You can see desert mountains in the Med.

theres a couple I have seen. One of the Lord of the Rings movies you can see one of the hobbits wearing sneakers.
In Invasion USA the helicopter on top of the building, the rotor blades are spinning backwards.

Sticking with the LOTR theme, one of the gondorian riders at the beginning of the second movie was wearing Oakley's.
