Have jsut started doing some FFA in H2H, but yesterday ran into problems in 2 different arenas with invisble cons.

The map showed dots, and at "dot range" I saw the pixels too. But at every other distance (most annoyingly, including 200 off my 6!!) they planes were simply invisible. NO icons either. I'd maneuver by radar, hunt madly for the real plane, and suddenly hear pings and take damage. Even then , no aircraft visible.

Tried relogging, and went to another arena -- where same thing happened.

Went to dinner, restarted computer, and no further problems, though I did avoid the problematic arena.

Any thoughts?

The famous dot bug. You can't exit out of one arena to the arena list menu and click another arena. Well you can, but you won't see the other planes. Quit to the login screen, or is it the desktop just to be safe.

restart the game and the Famous "Dot bug" will normally be gone.

it normally happens with a freshly downloaded terrain.

lol yeah... It's annoying, but almost always fixed by closing the game then restarting. You'll probably see it many times- it's just something to get used to.

Thought maybe everybody but me had somehow enabled skins in that hot pink AH treats as transparent....

I remember in one of the early AH2 patches some of the P-51 skins had transparency applied wrong....so you could see an airelon floating free apparently attached to an invisible wing, for example. I think the C.205 had no empennage
