AH people ever gonna use OpenGL for the graphics??  

What about Ageia physX...??  This would take cycles off the GPU and the CPU.

why is this the wrong thread?? Can't I wish for Opengl and Ageia PhysX.

If it were OpenGL, why does it require DirectX? :huh

Because DX is an integral part of how Windows interfaces with hardware.

I don't know for sure if the graphics are, but the sound might use DX, the inputs might, etc etc, so there are plenty of reasons to require DX.
