Dive flaps

I was flying the F4U this week alot and I could never figure out how to put my dive flaps down I know there are the regular flaps but they dont work like dive flaps can  someone help me out here?? and sorry about  the spelling LOL :)

F4Us don't have dive flaps. In planes that do have dave flaps or dive brakes, SHIFT C deploye them.

If you are refering to dive breaks then the gears are used for that in the F4U.

Wasn't the Hog's FM re-worked this week to prevent gear coming down until below 200? certainly seemed that way to me.

No... You can dump the gear going faster than 400 mph. Should be 300 mph deploy and 400 mph retract. F4U dive brakes consisted of main gear only, not the tail wheel.

The 47D40 did, as did the P38L (don't think either are technically dive brakes, but I'll let someone else deal with that), Ju-87, D3A, and the SBD.

Basically the divebombers, and a few attack aircraft. I believe the flap setup on the 38 and 47 is setup to aid in pulling out of a dive, and not just as a braking system, but for gameplay, the same command actuates those flap setups, which are commonly referred to generically as dive brakes.

I don't typically fly divebombers, so I may have missed a few others.
