I can grab some from a jumpseat if I ever think to take along a camera.

Try using the focus.  400 speed film for the action shots.

You of all people know it wasn't a joke...now come on lets see the SWA jumpseat pictures.

Make sure the lense is clean and hold the camera as still as possible.  A monopod or tripod would be best.

What was the joke?  "I fly jumpseat at SWA all the time.  Ha ha, just kidding, get it?"

Something they teach in every photography/design class in my town; don't put the focus of the picture in the center.

It looks like you're using too much compression for the JPEG images. Either in the camera or in a photoshop program.

I have a couple of pictures i am really proud of, would love to enter them into an amateur competition to see if they are any good.  

I dont really want to link them here, i dont really know anything about photography, would i be able to email or PM to one of you guys 'in the know' for you to critique?
