CV- groups and frame rate loss

Noticed last night whenever I was around a CV my frames dropped horribly has anyone else experienced this?

I would agree souless  running the hi res pack  at 1024 with everything cranked have to play with the detail sliders when near cv  

hate to think what it will be like  when theres a HUGE fight going on

spare cash  guess need 2gig of ram   lol

I am running the high resolution patch but the sliders are at the default setting resolution is 1280x1024

I was in the TA last night, My FPS dropped from about 90 to 16 when the CV got just on thedge of visual range.... I did not pay much attention to it, was to busy turning my 234 back towards the field for another hanger pass....

Will jump online tonight and see if it happens again

Running at 1280x1024
FX5700VE 256meg
512 Meg of DDR400 Dual Channel Ram
Semphron 2.8
Using FSAutostart to kill unwanted Services and Processes leaves me with 400+ MB main memory free at AH startup

I get that too, and I think it's all the fargin puffy acks--I use onboard audio...puffys show up, machine goes to pot
