mouse does not work in windows

In AH the mouse works fine but when I minimize the game to check if antivirus, etc. has turned back on I have no mouse control nor cursor at all.  When I exit the game it reappears and works fine... Any suggestions would be helpful.  Thanx,

1.5 gig Ram
Nividia 128k video card

And I'm stuck with dial up.....  Sigh.

After minmizing the game, hit your WINDOWS START key on your keyboard and that will being back your cursor.
