I think I'm 99% done. Just need a little feedback.
I'm trying out different rivet setups on this one and the other one (will post another thread in a minute) -- the rivets are the same, but the way I apply them is different.

Hrm.. Any suggestions? I dirtied up under the wings a little, but I was temptered by the fact that P47Ns were new at the end of the war. That and there's very little paint to "wear". More on the anti-glare and the tail, maybe?

Hey Krusty, here is a place I found that might have some P-47N shots for you to look at on Ie Shima.
7th Fighter Command Gallery
Try around A4276 or so, but look all through it. Also A4019 and up.
You mustang guys look at A42240 for some detail on how the rivets looked.

I'd recommend some dirt along where the pilot gets in and out, and perhaps some darker or lighter shaded panel pieces. I agree it looks too clean, and some wear here and there would make it look just beautiful.

Where is the gas cap on a P47N located?

Looks good, but almost too blue. Perhaps you could turn down the blue in the materials.txt file.

it's not the materials file. It's my layers. I'll de-blue-ify it a bit.

Okay here's a before-after for the de-blue-ifying process. Better? Or worse?

Cool. I'll have to keep that in mind. I've got just a bit more tweaking here and there on this one then I'll finish up the 19FS one. I will post a more "final" image in a moment. I disabled some weathering layers to get a better view on that last image.

I think I'm done.
That is, unless anybody has anything to point out?
This is just this bird. The 19FS bird actually came out looking different (finish-wise), but that's a good thing.

Very nice. Underside could use some oil and hydraulic fluid leaks, however. Dan posted a very nice picture of this kind of weathering, about 2/3 down in this post:
