Is this the answer???
« on: June 04, 2006, 03:04:43 PM »
or is this a hoax?

We've all heard of some sort of version of this concept. This, however, seems like its almost ready to change the world... Or is it just a big huge joke?

It is possible to extract hydrogen from water to make fuel, but so far it has been much more costly to do so than to use fossil fuels.  If this device is real, it would be a tremendous leap forward in technology.  100 miles on 4 ozs. of water sounds like april fools joke to me thogh.

You're probably correct...

I think the thought of a million square miles of deserted arab oil fields made me high for a few minutes.

Assuming this isnt a hoax........instead of going to the gas station, go to your local supermarket and load up on distilled water for those long trips.

I still have high hopes for this company. http://www.changingworldtech.com/ In April they shipped 6000 barrels of diesel fuel which represents about 30% of the plants total capacity.

One of the small advantages of this supposed breakthrough is that gearheads won't have to replace their vroom-vrooms with over-grown remote-controlled cars. Internal combustion will survive, and you'll be able to drink out of the tailpipe if you get dehydrated.

Interesting find, neubob. Power from a renewable resource, and no carbon emissions! :aok  I hope it isn't a hoax, because 100 miles on 4oz of water sounds a little far fetched - unless the engine has some way of ingesting moisture from the atmosphere as it runs...

It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
