It may be true, but pretty soon HTC is ganna run out of late war planes to add,
It's taken 6 years or so to get the planes that AH has now. Just adding a 'token' early war plane here or there won't mean anything. It will take another 6 years to get a complete enough plane set to run a scenario or event like Battle of France (sticking with French Planes as an example).
Given the huge holes through out the plane set, even late war, it doesn't make sense just to add 'tokens' that no one will fly in the main and that can only be used in made up fantasy scenarios and events. Why should HTC invest time and money in such pointless additions to the game when there are other and more meaningful choices?
Even a favorite 'Battle of Britain' match up in AH is pure fantasy. 109E-3 and E-1s made up a good portion of the LW day fighter OOB, the 110C-4/b with DB601N engine was rarer then the Ta-152, the Ju-88 is an A-4 while the Bob version would be an A-1 or A-5, the Ju-87 is a D-3 while a BoB version would be a B-2, there's no He-111 or Do-17s etc...
I won't get into the lack of Italian aircraft or the limited early war RAF plane set. Just plugging an early war French aircraft into the plane set won't mean anything across the board (main, events, scenarios or the upcoming CT). OTOH there are many planes that if added will have real usage, not just potentially in the main, but in those events, scenarios and CT that in the past have either been left out of substituted (Typhoon as substitute for a beaufighter if anyone here remembers that).
Adding a D.520 won't do anything to change the nature of the main and it won't have any real meaning for any other arena.
