Does anyone remember the episode of Junk Yard wars when they built jet powered cars? One group took a V8 block, ran a junked turbine compressor section, then hooked up a spray bar behind it for an afterburner. I think it was called a thermojet since it wasn't a pure jet at all.
The other car took a turbo from a V12 diesel and ran the thing with an afterburner off propane.
Anyway, it was a cool episode. Anyone know where to get it?
