UK: Two-Shags Prescott blamed for southeast water shortage
« on: June 06, 2006, 04:30:51 AM »
I'm quite enjoying the spectacle of watching Britain's Labour Government implode. It really is lawn chair and BBQ time! These last few weeks have seen one scandal after another, and incompetence that has led to further incompetence!

It has "just been revealed" that the Deputy Prime Minister's department has failed to take account of the increased demand for water in areas where "Presottisation" had led to a two or even three fold increase in the number of dwellings. As a result, the southeast is expecting its worst drought for 100 years, while other areas of the country seem to be OK.

Well duh. Surely only a buffoon like 2-Shags could make such a balls up. But oh - I mustn't be critical of a government minister, or I could face arrest on suspicion of being a terrorist! :lol

Dear me, what an aberration this government has become. I fully concur with the views expressed by Sparks and others, in earlier threads.

Droughts in the south? I think not... I remember having our garden being completely washed at least twice within a 3 years span. Wish I still had the picture of the GMs rooftop comming out of the water...(No one has thought up taking a picture of MY face when i found that out in the morning, of course...)
