Warning For Hp Owners

If you have downloaded any driver updates from HP in the last year or so, READ THIS ARTICLE.  There is a virus in their downloads!  Most current anti-virus programs should pick it up, but it never hurts to check!

What gets me about websites like that is they don't list the date of the article.

They mention "the same as the one on their servers in 2000" .... I find it hard to believe the same virus has been kicking around un-removed for 6.5 years now....

It makes me wonder if the article is a few years old.

Thought the same thing till I read this:

"6.5.2006
Funlove, which originated on HP's servers 6 years ago, makes an unexpected comeback."

I didnt look for a date, I just know I get these links in my email as part of a IT security update.  I know I've seen alot of the newer guys coming in recently with HP computers.  Figured it was worth passing along.

This is completly inexcusable. Heads should roll for this. Sadly though that will probably not be the case.

Of course it wont.  Most people will never even hear about it.  HP's profits are finally on the rise and they just acquired another company and plan on expanding from what I read.  Scary.
