NXT mod in my Cougar

I finally received my hall sensors and was able to get my Cougar back up and running.  The NXT mod from Ian is very well made and Ian is very supportive.

If anyone is considering the mod and hasn't done it yet, it certainly seems to fix the problems with both the pots and action.  Word of warning... get your hall sensors before you do anything else.  Ian will ship quickly, the Cougar is readily available (if you don't have one), but the halls are tricky to come by.

Been using NXT#49 (one of first batch) for a while now, hope you got extra springs from Ian. When she's got springs, the Cougar is everything it should have been from day-one. Definitely the best $800 joystick you can buy...LOL.

Beware the new patch of AH though. My use of "Foxy" software prevented me from having any trouble with keymapping over the whole development cycle...until tonight. I spent about 1.5 hours getting it remapped in-game and have a few things missing, no room for logical programming there either.

I'm still sorting out the patch changes to the controllers.  So far it hasn't been too bad.  I'm using someone else's code with a few small changes.  

I hear you on the $800... in retrospect I might have re-thought that decision, but I'm in now
