 Personally the thought of this piece of toejam strapped to a gurney and being "put to sleep" by lethal injection is sickening.

 If I had my way they would place him in a building and implode it.

I agree, They should pull out all his fingernail and toenails with pliers, then let one of the people who lost their family in that building flip the switch.....but lower the voltage a bit, make him die from his blood boiling, not the shock.

Just my humble opinion.

I'm an opponent of the death penalty, not for reasons that are mainstream, but for the simple fact that life in prison in solitary confinement is a much more slow, painful way of dying than the easy, fast way of instant death...I'm will to see tax dollars at work if it make his time on earth that much more agonizing.

I'd agree with your idea but only if the last charge was 25 lbs of C4 on the underside of his chair. That way he could count down the chain of explosions up to the point when his prettythang passes his cranium.

This is a most sickening and real possibility.  The people must be prepared to act in their collective self defense.

Some murdering humans need to be killed.

Kill these human monsters and save the lives of innocent men, women and children.

Dowding I'm curious, since you've had regular terrorist attacks for thirty years, what happens to the terrorists when they are caught?  If punishment over there has been working so well for so long, maybe we should try it here instead of going straight for execution.

as for watching an execution, I would force myself to skip it, no matter how curious I might be.  I don't think it would make him a martyr; I think it would wake a lot of people up and maybe even harm capital punishment (although lethal injection sounds boring)

McVeigh was a decorated soldier in the Gulf War and considered himself a patriot.  He became an enemy of the people when he murdered scores of innocent men, women and children in a ungodly act of utter hate towards his fellow Americans.

For the unbearable pain and suffering he so cowardly thrust upon the survivors and families of his attack he has been sentenced to the ultimate punishment, his own death.

It will be a sterile death.  One in which he has no control other than finding the strength in his own heart to beg forgiveness from his creator and the souls he so forcefully mutilated on that morning.

It is sadly fitting that he be denied the opportunity to exist among us.  For our own preservation it is required.

Do you think a 'Green Mile' style shocking would be long enough or would it be too short? There's not much I can say about what he did except he will hopefully get what he deserves on the other side. We will never be able to do enough to him. All of those innocent lives lost because of a couple of freaks.

I have always have trouble with the death penalty. If you believe that no man is beyond forgiveness or redemption (whether its religious or otherwise) how is killing them the "right" thing to do? There are people out there (child molesters, rapist etc..) that will never be "cured" yet they serve their time and are released and repeat their crime over and over. Look at Rudolph Hess and his life after World War II. Absent from daily physical torture could he have suffered more? Will killing McVeigh stop people from hating the government? Will it stop them killing for what they believe in? Or does the possibility of turning McVeigh into a martyr increase the likelihood of this happening again. Is it possible while serving life in prison McVeigh may escape and if so what's the chances of him remaining free or let alone repeating his crime? McVeigh was tried, convicted and sentenced under the laws of the US and it will be carried out but anything that allows McVeigh to exploit this for his benefit should not be allowed. One other thought there seems to be a lot of unknowns behind his crime (I'm no conspiracy freak) but it seems to me that the government has a responsibility to find out the entire truth (it may be as a simple as presented at his trial).

We don't kill them, which is just as well, because there have been a fair few miscarriages of justice over NI (Birmingham Six, Guilford Four etc).

I just thought it was a little sad that a group of supposedly adult men were talking the 'big talk' over what they would do to this bloke. Like they would have the guts to even talk to an animal like that.
