Need Help choosing someone to interview
« on: June 08, 2006, 07:53:26 AM »
Im planning on doing something in the form of a monthly interview with a pilot in AH each month. What I need from the community is nominees that they would like to see interviewed.

Along with that, I will go on a few rides with them using the join feature and see what, how, and how well they fly. I will then give a fair assessment of how they are in the catagories of fighter, bomber,gv,and ships, as well as other game related catagories.

I have a pic made up showing skill level meters, and toggles signifying each catagory and sub catagory. An example would be the fighter catagory. It is made up of 10 sub catagories including ACM, SA, and many more.

So if you know someone, and are curious where their strengths and weaknesses lie, and he is willing to take part, please nominate him today.

there are many more, but those are some I think would be a good read.

I nominate anyone at HTC. It's been YEARS since the last interview.

And after them Lephturn, Mossback, Vermillion, Dolomyte, Camel, banana, Torque and, oh why not, RAM also!

Look for a squad CO, plenty of them to choose from and it might give some different insights. Why they formed the squad, why they choose a certain name, if their squad is specialized, etc etc..

I'll wait for this afternoon for more nominees then choose. Then I will need info on how to contact them. Many of those Ive seen so far I never see in the game. So probably that will have an impact on my choice. Some of the listed I see everyday :)

I like the idea of interviewing people.... Just not for the sole purpose of RANKING them. I'd rather you interview them, follow them, observe them, then just write an article on what you observed, but without putting them on a scale. That kind of cheapens it.

I like the sound of this.  It would also be interesting to know these guys sticks rudders etc. If they use combat trim some or all the time.  Also most commanly used commands.  I think shift Z is a god send.

Yucca is my first choice.  I just ain't worked out "how" he handles that p47.  He's a deadly snap shooter for sure but the handling ...man!  What's that about?  Maybe i'm going into the relms of fantasy but it's like he has aileron trim mapped into "Yaw".  He can certainly swing that thing around for the over shoot.

Furball is also a geeza i'd like to know about.  Exceptional fighter with a great perception of your next move / where your going to be.

Although I wouldn't expect guys to give away their hard learnt abilities it would be good to hear something from them.

Good luck on this project:aok

I agree.

Your graphic looks sweet, but to be honest any ratings are going to be purely subjective. They'll also be beisde the point, which to me is getting to see the guys at work, and how they think/react in combat.

Exactly. Rating them won't accomplish anything positive.
