If you interviewed me all I could offer is insight as to how one person could get sent back to the tower so quickly, so many times.  Between Levi and Hub last night I think I spent more time selecting planes than I did flying them.

agree with the others about ditching the ratings and rankings.

The focus should be on learning what these guys can teach the rest of us sorry bellybutton excuses for online pilots.  :D

I definitely would be interested to see Leviathn interviewed.  I've waded with him into furballs way back when that had me killed in 15 seconds, and he seems to end up killing all the enemies and going home without a scratch.  ;)  I dunno how he survives some of the things he gets himself into!

Outside AH Levi can't take 2 steps without hitting a wall.. He's an AH-savant, is my guess.

(forgive me if you read this Leviathan!)

He's not allowed to cross the street because he can't see 2 feet in either direction, and has been hit by cars 3 times in the past year.

He can't put the top to his peanut-butter and jelly sandwich on because his hand simply won't go where he wants it, and ends up planting the bread face down onto the counter.

He can't add even simple math, and relies on calculators to do everything...

But put a joystick in his hand and stick him in front of an AH screen, and LOOK OUT!

To steal a line, "That deaf, dumb, and blind kid sure flies a mean spitfire!"

(all due appologies to Levi if he ever reads this, sorry, I couldn't resist!)

Along with that, I will go on a few rides with them using the join feature and see what, how, and how well they fly. I will then give a fair assessment of how they are in the catagories of fighter, bomber,gv,and ships, as well as other game related catagories.

I have a pic made up showing skill level meters, and toggles signifying each catagory and sub catagory. An example would be the fighter catagory. It is made up of 10 sub catagories including ACM, SA, and many more.

So if you know someone, and are curious where their strengths and weaknesses lie, and he is willing to take part, please nominate him today.
you have far too much time on your hands.  go get pregnant or something.

Thanks for the vulch and HO catagorys. I forgot them!

This will be an interview, but also something more. Ive often wondered how many guys out there play hard but never get rank for their efforts. Lots of guys will score high in the fighter catagories, but not so well in others. This is designed to provide an overall evaluation. From fighter to goonies, to ostwind and tailgunners.

I evaluated myself, and tried to be as honest as I could. It turns out Im not as good as I thought in many things. This is not designed to hurt anyones feelings. Anyone who goes into it will know before hand they are being scored by what they answer for questions I ask, and watching them in action.  There is no POOR ratings. The lowest is FAIR. Again alot rides on my opinion. I will be fair.

You say the rating will be subjective. Maybe so. But they will be consistant by someone who wont play favorites, and who knows a little about the game.

Levi, say "Target sucks!" for us, please, so that we might see if this is true or not.

So I guess you're not going to interview the "average" pilot then? Because then you'd need to make your lowest rating "Sucks arsch".

At what point do you draw the line for whom you interview and whom you don't? Are you looking for the more experienced sticks? The "better" pilots?

(honest question, I'm curious about your format)
