maybe film something and ask the community to vote for scores?  dunno, i just think the scoring thing could be a touchy issue, but wth do i know?:D

at any rate is interesting idea, a refreshing topic, and a cool looking visual thingy:aok
Used to be a site an AW player set up where people could log in, comment and rank other players.  My name in the sig line leads to an example.  There were several catagories you could rank people in, but the page I archived was "simple mode" and didnt show that.  It actually started out as the site owners opinion of well known players, but after some disagreements about that, they made it so others could rank also.  Oh well, looks like Im just rambling down memory lane, better move along.

I think the point of this exercise is, and Flit you can correct me if I am wrong or not - is the style of play and how it is matched to the personality and the aircraft/mission type selected. I wouldn't say i'm the best furball guy around, not by a long shot - but then again I don't fly Spitfires or 109's much to have a valid discussion. My personality matched to the P-47, in this case was to fly in a way that I actually would in real life - with the professionalism and military precision one would expect while operating a machine of this type.

The same would be expected say if I were flying an AR234 in a behind the red line action, more reminiscent of a unarmed recon. Like many things in life, you get out of it what you put in. I have fun, but also try to apply the lessons learned by those who came before us to show the validity of their sacrefices.

Yes Wolfala it won't be my opinion of I fly this way you should to. It will be more of the lines if you choose to get in the middle of a furball do you do some fancy stuff or die early, and if you choose to hunt carefully, do you do so efficiently and safely, or end up throwing it all away constantly losing patience and just committing when its all said and done.  No one way is going to be the best, but there are better ways to do each way. Stuff like that.

HARRR!

I'd like to vote or nominate some of my squaddies.  We have some great pielets, and "real" pielets to boot. Here are their handles!

MiG - CO and real pielet (also Beta tester for AW3, Microsoft Flight Sim etc)
CapnMike real pielet (Commercial Jet Captain)

We have other fine Pielets, but those are our Top-Guns.

Of course, you need to ask them  :lol

Great idea, Filth.

Just one thought. The most of the players who was suggested for interviewing are well known here. We saw a lot of films with them, we know what they think and how they like to fly because most of them are writing here on BBS. Certainly, it would be great to see their  flights again, but it would be nice also to see some unknown players.

Here we have about 10% of HTC players, and I really do believe that among other 90% there are a lot of good fighter pilots. Would be interesting to see them.

Just an idea, if you meet somebody who is good in fight and unknown for community let us know his nickname. May be Filth will be able to find among them somebody who are willing to  give interview.
