When we get new models updated for a plane or set of planes, the old skins pack still loads skin entries into the hangar. You can't select them but they're still there. This happened with the P51s for a while. Now we have it with the B17. I'm seeing a handful of skins in the offline hangar because the skin pack installed them, but the skin pack was dated before the update.

HTC, when you update a plane, can you delete all skins for that plane from the skins pack and replace the old skins pack on the download page? Just over-write it but leave the name and all the other stuff the same?

Is that possible?

Or is there a script that could just go through and toss out skins which don't match the FE we could run from the desktop?

One nice reason to leave the old list up for a while is so that someone can look and see if there's someone already out there who's likely to rebuild his skin.

It might save people stepping on each others toes and some wasted effort.

I'm rebuilding my B17 and I suppose most of the other B17 skinners will also. This time I'm going to take a little longer on the details. I wouldn't like it if someone else jumped in and tried to replace my skin with so many other choices out there and this way, they have a big sign post that says so and so did this skin. When htc feels they've given everyone enough time they can remove the list. I figure I better be close to submitting when that happens.

You can remove old skins. Look in your C:/programs/HTC/Aces High II/ cache/ folder.

Someone rebuilt my "Glady's" P51B with the shark mouth and bare metal. I think they did a poor job compared to what I would have done, and I think they went soley on my old skin, because the old P51B had a mirroring issue on the nose it had "Glady's" on both sides, but the actual P51C only had it on one side.
but... what can ya do? I like my "Big Mac Jr" skin more anyway

Rap, I deleted the cache\b17g1, b17g2, etc directories and the files they contained. It still lists half a dozen skins in the hangar inside AH.

That doesn't help. Tried it a while ago.

Exactly Raptor, that's just wrong. I'm far enough along I'll submit it and I'm confident it'll be accepted because I know the plane so well and what needs to be fixed.
