not a bad thread, but lacking in originality. Guys like 1Hunglo and Redrum were the kings of GVs years ago.

JMJF has certainly destroyed a few of my tigers, and i dont think i even saw where he was shooting from most times.

GVs takes some skill, but imo the bugs are the downfall. you can still see enemy tanks through rises n the terrain, you can roll down a hill at 110mph and then hit a tree and make brain pate on the front of your skull.....then slip into 1st and start again....etc...etc.....i mean, its not as if our planes bounce off trees.....why are tanks so indestructable?

sadly, the most fun ive ever had in a GV was myself and 3 squaddies taking tigers to a heavily defended field, taking down the ack, ord and VH, then sitting on the rearm pads poping planes as they tried to take off.

the score count for a 1 hour battle that saw us fighting tanks and planes;

Tedrik - 67
Batfink - 54
Redtop - 49
Steffk - 50

when i was eventualy bombed i flew a C47 up to 25k and dropped field supps to the boys.

that WAS fun.
400 yrds on my tail, right where i want you... [/size]

How anyone couldn't respect AH gv'ers is beyond me.  I mean how can you not look up to these guys as models of fine strategery, masculinity and pure brawn?

i think i remember that. you died just before i got my supplies to you hehe

anyway, JMFJ, GV's are good fun sometimes, i like to mess about in them on occasion, then the main arcade HOtards are in heavy supply, but, there is nowhere near the amount of skill required in GV's than flying a plane properly. GV, while needing some level of experience, simply doesnt require the same level of skill, as there are no maneuvers, nothing to worry about but driving shooting and hiding, hence why many players chose to GV/toolshed in their early days, as the learning curve is just so steep. i do like to GV when im bored, but flying IMHO requires more skill and is more rewarding.

i appreciate the offer though, and likewise, anytime you wanna learn to fly fighters a bit better i'll be glad to help you out :)

I tried a gv once but it gave me a rash and then I felt really dirty afterwards.

This is the first time I have admitted to driving one....  They told me it would make me feel better to admit it but...really.. I don't..

Whels was and probably still is one of the best GVers in the game. The guy is amazing at guesstimating your distance for the 1st shot ... if he doesn't get you on the first shot, and you don't get him with your first shot ... you will die.

I'm sorry I can't hold it anymore. First of all I think having gv's in the game is great. I'm not a HUGE gv guy but I will use them on occassion.

Second...For those of you that complain about the gv'rs.... PLEASE. Why in the name of God would you care wtf someone else is doing with their $15 a month. I mean if this is all you have to concern yourself with then........man do I feel bad for you. I think maybe it's time to say GOODBYE to mom and dad and make that leap into the real world where there are far more useful things to concern yourself with.

Also, I hope I don't offend any of my buds in saying this but.........If you think that this game involves a "SKILL" in anyway your sadly mistaken. I laugh my *** off when someone tries to say that the way they fly/drive their cartoon plane is a "SKILL":rofl :rofl

Bottom Line.....It's a GAME!!!

yeah bucky, it is a game, but there IS a skill difference between noobs and someone like levi for instance, no?

but i agree, telling people not to mess about in GVs is a little lame, just do whatever floats your boat, dont give a rats arse about what the other guys do...

Who's telling anyone not to use GVs?  Are you guys reading the same thread?  WTF

Spawn camping is not GVing.  That is stopping other people from being able to engage in the GV game.

If I can figure out how to post a film I will post it here but as of right now i'm not really getting anywhere.  I'm going through all the archives of previous posts on how to do that but it's taking for ever, and really haven't figured anthing out yet.  Although I can email it to anyone who wants it.

P.S. Mars01 I sent you an email.

You have to upload your film to a server on the internet, then all you do is link to it.

I use these guys for stuff sometimes, go to this link:

http://www.thesproge.com/

then go to uploads.  Once your file is on the server you can then link to it from there.

I do not consider spawning and getting shot a GV game any more than I consider vulching AtoA combat.

I hope it works, this is the first film i've ever tried posting.  Thank you for the instructions Mars01.

I have others but this one is one I knew where to find in my ungodly list of Film#1-Film#500+.  I did edit out the vox cause there was some innappropriate vox going on on the squad vox.

Please be patient with the slowness of it, I had to keep parking up in trees about every 5 min due to my 3 year old daughter needing me & the phone ringin off the hook.

Also the film editor doesn't really show how many rounds were being fired at me.  You only see/hear probably 25% of the rounds that came at me.

Click on the names of the bish players, and you can see how many GV's await me at the top of the hill.  At one point there is 7 or 8 tigers, 3 panzers & 1 T34 all up there.

Keep in mind it is just me (in a Tiger) and Sam176 (in a Panzer), against all of them.
