Replacing My Force-Feedback Control Stick
« on: June 10, 2006, 07:45:39 AM »
After four years my Microsoft Force Feedback 2 has finally bitten the dust.

I really like the feel of force feedback joysticks, as opposed to the limp-wristed feel of non-force feedback sticks.  While the Microsoft unit has served me faithfully it has, unfortunately, been discontinued.

So, I'm looking for some advice on purchasing a new unit.  What are some suitable low-to-mid end units (in terms of price)that would be suitable replacements?  Units that have twist-grip rudders are preferred.

Regards, Shuckins

You can get a Saitek rumble force, reconditioned, for $19.. I ordered an xtra one that works just fine and is covered under the standard warranty.

I like this older ones better than the new evos because its got a huge, heavy solid base... and the feedback is pretty good. I really like the runble force, but if you think it sucks.. it was only $19

Saitek also has pedals now, kinda pricy though $149

x0847Marine,

I had been using the MS FFB Pro for years and years.  I thought that I would want another FF stick, but bought a Saitek X52 anyways.

I don't miss FFB at all. You should give it a try.
