Either side of every commercial break (on British TV anyway)......

2 American sportscasters pretending to be completely clueless.

-------------------------------------------

"Here we are, live from Berlin!"

"Takes my breath away."

-----------------------------------------------

"And here we have the national side of para goey"

"I think you'll find that's pronounced para gay"

--------------------------------------------

Makes the football actually worth watching.

DVRs with 30 second skip buttons are our friends.  :)

but still...  gotta love the "berlin... takes my breath away" one!

On a side note, not that anyone else in the USA is watching the World Cup, but one of the color commentators (Shep Messing) is trying to act like Dick Vitale calling a college basketball game.  It's highly annoying hearing 20 "Woah, baby!" comments during a match.

Pie and chips = meat pie and fries.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

From a chippy:

Bake yourself:

A pie.

Pies come in many varieties:
chicken
chicken and mushroom
chicken tikka
steak
steak and kidney
steak and ale
beef
beef and onion
pork and apple
meat and potato

....are but a few.

and no, it's nothing like shepherds pie.  Shepherds pie is meat and veg in gravy with mashed spuds on top.  A pie is meat and something in gravy baked in savory pastry.
